VoiceUp ("we," "us," "our") operates voiceupapp.com. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We keep this straightforward — no ad tracking, no selling your data.
2. Data We Collect
Account Information
- Email address
- Full name
- Password (hashed — we never store it in plain text)
Uploaded Content
- Video, audio, PDF, and PPTX files you upload for processing
Generated Content
- AI-narrated audio files, dubbed videos, and exported MP4s produced by the Service
Usage Data
- Voice minutes used (standard and premium)
- Project count and types
- Current subscription plan
Technical Data
- IP addresses (logged in our events table for abuse prevention and debugging)
- Request IDs for error tracing
What We Don't Collect
- We do not use cookies. Your session token (JWT) is stored in your browser's localStorage only.
- We do not collect advertising identifiers or behavioral tracking data.
3. How We Use Your Data

We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not share it with third parties except as described in Section 5.
4. File Storage and Retention
- Uploaded and generated files are stored in Cloudflare R2 (US region).
- Files are retained until you delete the project or delete your account.
- Deleting a project removes associated files from storage.
- Deleting your account removes all projects and files.
5. Third-Party Processors
We use the following sub-processors to operate the Service:

Each provider is bound by their own data processing terms and privacy policies. We do not authorize them to use your data for their own purposes.
6. GDPR and EU Users
Because our backend is hosted on Hetzner in Germany, some of your data may be processed within the EU. If you are an EU resident, you have the following rights:
- Access — request a copy of your personal data
- Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Portability — request an export of your data
To exercise any of these rights, email support@voiceupapp.com. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Data Security
We use industry-standard practices including hashed passwords, HTTPS, and access-controlled storage. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password and notify us immediately of any suspected breach.
8. Data We Don't Sell
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party for marketing or advertising purposes. Full stop.
9. Children's Privacy
VoiceUp is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us at support@voiceupapp.com and we will delete the account.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you by email for significant changes. The effective date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
